Zero Waste
and Negative Spaces

This technical project investigates how negative space created during garment construction can guide the final form—while adhering to the principles of zero waste design.

I challenged myself to work within strict material boundaries, allowing the absence of fabric to become a defining element of the silhouette. The result is a black outfit featuring a bold cut-out at the stomach, where the void becomes part of the visual language.

I used Clo3D extensively to simulate shape, fit, and spatial tension digitally, which allowed me to refine the design without producing physical waste.
